I have been slowly adding more music related content to this site. Music is pretty important to me, and I love finding new artists online. If you have followed the music I listen to, or read any of the music related entries on this site, you will know that I have an affinity for female fronted bands. That is not to say that all I listen to is music with female vocals, but I do have a strong preference.
I mentioned a couple weeks back that I was working on a podcast. I am in the process of getting that together, trying to put out something a bit unique, and it is taking longer to plan than I had intended. I recorded a rather rough first episode, but I don’t think it will ever air. One of the features of the podcast will be a musical track, and associated download, from a podsafe artist. I find a lot of great music on the net, and I never see the albums at my local Best Buy. I want to introduce people to some of these new artists, and give them a chance to enjoy the world of great music that can be found online.
Since it will be a while before I get the podcast rolling, I will start featuring a new track and artist each week in a New Music Friday post. I will post a new track each and every Friday morning, by a new artist, and each will have a free download. Most of these tracks will be made available thanks to an account I received from Ioda Promonet. I appreciate the account, and look forward to posting lots of great music from the artists and labels they have partnered with. I will also be featuring tracks from other Podsafe choices on the Internet.
I am very excited about this new area for sean.blog. I don’t think I am a great music reviewer, but I hope posting my thoughts on these tracks and why I chose them will improve that. I hope that my readers (and listeners) will take time to share your thoughts in the comments for the music posts. The information will be helpful for both me and the artists that are featured.
