Amazon Addiction

I have always had a bit of am Amazon problem, especially this time of year.  There is just something special about coming home to find a package waiting for you on the front step.  Amazon Prime has kept me ordering things, often one at a time, and getting them quickly.

However, I have recently started full fledged into a digital Amazon addiction as well.  I started with Amazon Unbox last Christmas when I got my Zen W.  It was pretty mild at first, but now I have purchased about 8 or so movies and downloaded numerous free shows.

Pile on top of that the VERY nice Amazon MP3 store and now I am getting downloads a couple time a week.  Every time I think of a song I want, I check eMusic, and if it is not their I check Amazon.  More often than not I have the song downloaded 10 minutes later…bye bye .89.

The DRM free music from Amazon means that what I have is mine to keep.  I like that.  I do worry a bit about the movies, but I can burn them to DVD for safe keeping.  I actually have ordered a couple of digital movies that I already own the DVD for.  I find DVD ripping to be WAY to labor intensive, and there are some movies I like to be able to take with me.  I really wish Serenity was available.

I don’t have a Kindle, and doubt I will get one for a good long while, but I am sure I would be an ordering fool if I did.

Currently downloading Lord of the Rings & The Princess Bride from Unbox.
