BarCampHouston Morning

I have spent the morning at BarCampHouston, and open conference of technology enthusiasts in Houston.  I wrote a bit about BarCamp last week.  So far things have gone well, lots of interesting discussions going on (especially for startups).

In addition to some generic talk about startups I have heard from a few startups with information about their companies and products.  I have been looking at OpenTeams, a web based (wiki actually) AJAX application for enabling Enterprise 2.0 collaboration in teams.  We got started a bit late and missed some of the background/research stuff which look to be very interesting.  The presentation did talk about how many people in the enterprise today are underutilized.  Lack of tools, and understanding of collaboration in the enterprise makes using employees to full potential difficult.

Lunch was VERY slow.  We waited about 40 minutes, but it was good to get some food.  It started raining on the walk over, and I am just now starting to dry off.

You can follow a lot of BarCamp discussion on my Twitter page, see photos on Flickr, and look at related sites on  Ma.gnolia.
