The Fantasy Flight Games rants page has some preview pictures of the miniatures for use with the game Wings of War by Nexus Games, and distributed in the US by Fantasy Flight Games. I had no idea that these were being made, and I must say it was a very pleasant surprise. I own the original box for this game, and I always though it was fun, still I always though it would be better with miniatures. I guess I get a chance to pull the game off the shelf again, and actually play with miniatures this time. Not sure when they will be available, but I will be picking some up.
I like Wings of War because it is a programmed action game. Each player will pick from a number of different actions secretly before each game turn, and then reveal them in order. You execute the moves for your planes in this case based on the moves you programmed. Especially for a WWI flying game, the chaos that can ensue seems to fit well.
