I listened to quite a few tracks trying to decide what would make the debut track for New Music Friday. I wanted something a bit new, a bit unique, and something different. Contrary to what I figured would happen, I didn’t go with a female fronted group, instead choosing the very smooth sounds of Blue Fades. I was not able to uncover much about the group, although I was able to find a My Space page.
The music is kind of hard to describe. It is certainly downtempo, some nice guitar and piano in there, a bit of the blues maybe. I was really quite pleased to stumble across the album in the list of new releases. I reviewed a few tracks, and decided to go with the track For Her off of the album Hold Still, Please. The Album was released on the Spat! Records label. I was not able to find the album available for purchase anywhere, but I will update this page when I do find it.
