Most board gamers have heard the news from Days of Wonder that the next game in Richard Borg’s Command & Colors line will be BattleLore. BattleLore promises to be the fantasy miniatures battle game that board gamers have been waiting for. It combines the best aspects of the card driven C&C system found in Battle Cry, Memoir ‘44 and C&C: Ancients with features that any avid fantasy miniatures gamer would like. Expansion armies, monsters, and a pretty cool set of rules for your military advisors (called your Lore Masters who sit on your War Council) will set this iteration of the system apart from the rest. The BattleLore blog has been filled with great articles detailing the game’s features. I am really excited for this game.
