Moving etc… April 6, 2005
The problem with naming your site after the place you live is that its possible that you might move. I had not expected that to happen for a good long while. Melissa and I bought a great house in Murphy that we planned to stay in for a really long time. As it ends up a really long time will fizzle out at around 8-10 months.
Melissa and I are packing up and heading back to the Houston area. Current plans are to move just South of the city to Pearland. Gaming in Pearland just does not sound right…will have to get creative. We have picked out yet another nice house, quite different than the house we are currently in, but still plenty of gaming space.
I am certainly going to miss Tuesday night gaming, hopefully the board game group in the Houston area will be as well organized and active. Look for a name change for the site around the end of May.

Cool website! Saw your post on the Little Wars web page and thought I’d bewail your move to Murphy… and then applaud your move back to Houston! Beware! New babies have a tendency to put a crimp in your gaming activities. Mine dropped from once a week to once or twice a QUARTER when mine were born!
I have a small group playing a variant of Frank Chadwick’s ANCIENT CONQUEST about once a month on Saturdays. We play at my house because 1) I don’t like decamping with my lead and terrain, etc. across town to Little Wars, and 2) I can’t leave my wife alone with no car all day. We’d love for you to come and give us a try once you get back down to the “real world” in June.
